How Efficient A Mixed Economy Work

More than half of the populations will think that a command economy is like living in the Dark Ages again, and you are probably one of them. Talking about economy, people would come up with the idea of money. There are four types of economies. A mixed economy is the combination of command economy and free market. Mixed economies that are leaning towards command economies of developed countries are more efficient for citizens by giving people employment opportunities and the freedom of ownership while maintaining order.
First of all, the country employs many people in this type of economy. They give people jobs, so the citizens would not fall in poverty and famine. To not cause this problem, the Chinese leaders in the Cultural Revolution decided that women and men needed to be treated equally. Therefore, women can do any job as well as men, like farming or factory industrials (World Culture and Geography 768). When people have jobs, they would have money, or the green gold, to buy their needs and supplies. Therefore, the government would gain more trust. Because of poverty and famine’s big problems, beggars and poor people will starve and die. If a country had poverty for many years, the citizens might see that there would be no ways the government could provide jobs and food for everyone. The natives would migrate to other places causing the country to collapse.
In command economies, government will own every single possession of the individuals, but on the other hand, mixed economies let the individuals have the ownership under government’s regulations. For example, in 1976, after Mao died, Deng Xiaoping became the president. He found out that money equals power, let the foreigners into China and make money with them, while maintaining government’s regulations (Deng Xiaoping’s Wikipedia’s Page). The thought of raising its own country’s economy status worked. The plan was anyone can own companies and properties, but they must help the government grow stronger. With the introduction of private ownership of property and Dang’s quote, “I don’t care if a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice,” hundreds of millions became richer. The four modernizations like agriculture, industry, science, and defense, were the impressive improvement. This period of industrial was a big and powerful sign of China’s success. It was worth it to change. After this period, he was marked in the history for this event, the beginning of China’s economy of moving to free market on the spectrum. The more profit those companies earn, the wealthier they are, which means the economy will rise rapidly. That will help to develop the country
Thirdly, developed countries are countries that had been improve with an economic system. Ancient Japan is one example of mixed economies closer to command. The strong young lord had causing the natives with challenging problems. If not, the lord would get angry and punish those innocent poor citizens harshly (Literature Text Book 8, The Wise Old Woman, by Yoshiko Uchida). Let’s look at the present Japan, peaceful and calm place to settle down with the help of the government. The Japanese government used their old mistakes to fix the currents problems. Japan became a developed country with a mixed leaning toward command economy. Also, citizens there have very high living standards, with gigantic great inventions. With this kind of economy, Japan can develop more and more with the same procedure while maintaining order for the citizens.
In mixed economies that are leaning towards command, the reduction of violence and keeping people to maintain order is very important. China is writing the eleventh five-years program for 2011 to 2015; the goal is to  reduce of energy consumption intensity and carbon dioxide emissions intensity (People’s Daily Online English, Significant Reductions In Carbon Emissions likely to Be Binding in New Five-Year Program: NDRC Official, November 11th, 2010). In the last five-year program, the successful construction was ‘The Three Gorges Dam,’ the government had called the citizens to move in 1994, and they did as quickly as possible. The plan was successful, supporting energy to 1.3 billion people in this second largest country, while destroying somehow. To support energy for the citizens was worth it. The swipe of old cultural places, like temples and attracted tourist place was no regret. They started because they had calculated every possible consequence, and the government knows that these will be memorable to every citizen of China’s heart, and their descendents. It was nothing bad, the country did participate with the others for the cause of Global Warming or Climate Chaos.
Somehow, a developed country needed some regulations to maintain order by giving their own citizens employment opportunities and still keeping their freedoms of ownership. People think that they can survive on their own, well not exactly. If there were no government, would you have a great income and healthy life? The answer is no, your boss would torture you under no regulations of the government, and would people starve. Another example, if the crops fail this year, who would give you food? That’s right, the government. They will help you under any circumstances.

Literary Focus: Gentleman of Rio en Medio - Blog Post 13

Hypothesize: This story is told from the point of view of a narrator who is a character in the story. How might this story differ if Don Anselmo were the narrator?
The story would be totally different with Don Anselmo’s perspective. It would be much easier or more confuse to understand. If the entire story changes, it would change some of the subjects and the readers' reading connections and inferences between the old and new version of the story . His story might only talk about how he feel, may not, how he solve his problem and how he did not take the higher price. Because the narrator who is a character in the story may tells the story a little different, not exactly what he saw, even he could miss out a small detail, so it will be various. For example, like the story “When My Name Was Keoko,” there are two perspectives in the story, a boy and a girl. Different genders have different thoughts, so the narrator who is a character in the story could be a female lawyer being a male, who knows? Don Anselmo is a great gentleman, so sometimes they don’t really make the story clear enough. It would confuse some of the readers. Keeping it the same way is the best way of showing the story.

Literary Focus: Stop the Sun - Blog Post #12

Make Judgments: Do you think Terry made the right decision about questioning his father on his experiences in Vietnam? Why or why not?

In my opinion, not my opinion, according to what I know, it is right that Terry made the decision to question his father about him and his experiences. Terry has the right to ask anyone about anything because it is important skill to learn how to ask people and be brave like Terry, but sometimes don’t ask too much. Try to listen is enough, even if you can. First, letting people to express themselves is there habits but they doesn’t know how to and with who. In health class, it said it is a nature thing, if they don’t express or share it. For example, they will be like a book shelf that contains lots of book, someday it will explode. It is the same thing to anyone, if Terry didn’t ask him, if his father was keeping it all along, the thing that would happen is that his mind would explode and he would get a mental sickness that may causes suicide problems. These causes also affect your work, your school and career works decrease massively. Secondly, this helps Terry to communicate with his family, and not feeling embarrass anymore later on. Trying to understand what is the situation may help you to help them back. Someday, if you have problems, you would go to talk to them as you trying to listening. Try to listen is enough, even if you can.

The Short Story of Z-Algebra Adventures - Writings - Blog Post # 11

Short Stories Writing
Once upon a time, whoa, wait, in the present time, there were a boy, named Flapjack, was kicked out of the school, the apartment, the whole country, and the whole universe, except the sea, with his stepfather – Annabelle George Washington. They had relocated themselves in the middle of the desert next to a rainforest up-side-down in the sea. They set their ladder sail on the date of my second birthday, two thousand and something.
When he first landed on the desert, the entire up-side-down country disappeared, in of no where. I don’t know because of scare or happy.
One day, I decided to go and make friends with them. Oops, sorry, my name is HeRnaque, read as her-na-qoo-ee. I am a talking fish who eat woods, and that’s why I live in the up-side-down rainforest with all my ‘panaque’ relatives, I think. The rainforest is where I can find every kind of trees whose could survive with salt water, or dead! Back to the main point, Flapjack was wearing a yellow-pink-ish girl sail suit, a blue tie, and shiny white shorts with a great enthusiastic feeling.
“Adventure,” he said, he decorate his face with a great smile, a smile that you would never see, the biggest one I have ever seen down here. Then, the stepfather stepped out of the archaic brownish hut, like the first step on Mars, but not, the third step on the up-side-down desert.
“Why was there nobody when we first came here?” Flapjack asked enthusiastically.
I answered back, “This will be the last one I will answered, as I said, I don’t know because of scare or happy”
“Adventure,” Flapjack interrupted me again, “since we immigrated here, I would determine to find ‘bookied island’ no matter what, but first we will need to live here for awhile. Can you please show me the way into the up-side-down rainforest?” Can you imagine that? Hearing him talking like lecturing me as to richest ladies who is fashionable in a wrong way. A great day, with a great gentleman.
Next day, still, “Adventure.” I think he would say “adventure” every time he get something excited, or just bored. I would like give it a try to introduce Flapjack, the other side of the up-side-down country.
At the entrance of the only undersea rainforest, there is a long shore way to it. First he met a group of eight north sailor, Flapjack said hi. Then they turned back and screamed: “He’s a girl, how could he?”Flapjack ran away and shyly blushed, but he was irritated. His face was white and his body had slightly turned red, as a maroon color tiny dragon with a white bunny head breathing fire. He ran as fast as he can to the 70’s bookied store, the place where the rainforest can find books in the whole country. Flapjack gave the person standing at the bar a piece of paper. Flapjack moved his hand up and down, left to right, an illustration demonstrating him to open and read out loud. Of course, the man read it out loud, with a sweet girly voice, “Hi there, I am Flapjack, I just immigrated here. What is your name? Am I a boy or a girl?” The man paused and continued again, “Well, then, my name is Pepperstrawberry Derry as your order. I am the owner and the manager of this bookied store. FYI (for your information), are you actually a girl?”
Tears started flowing in Flapjack’s eyes, “Why? Why, why, why, why, why?” his voice was rough and dry.
“Why? Because your writing is like girls’, and with all the pink flowers, peace sign, and XOXO. How could I not misunderstood?”
He quickly took the paper from his hand and ripped along the way. As he began again, he met another guy. Flapjack was just covered of dark shadow of that bald muscle guy.
“Finally,” he breathed irregularly, “I wish I were like you. Strong. Tall. Muscle. So that I wouldn’t got kicked out of the whole universe except the sea.”
“Hello,” the muscle guy turned back, “how are you doing, young gentlemen?” asked the girl-guy. Turn out that Flapjack had missed the two pink bows on the both fin. This guy was floating up-side-down on the up-side-down rainforest, that’s mean this thing, this guy, this fish to be correctly was right –side-up to ordinary human on earth’s surface. He or it was wearing a black guy bikini, and that’s why Flapjack was mistaken
“Ahh…” Flapjack softly roared inadequately.
***
Minutes of running and running, I finally found him, in front of the bookied store. Let’s me tell you about the doctor Flapjack will meet. First, his name was Dr. Yulius Berbar, he was a current doctor and barber of this up-side-down forest, but he was also certified bookieologist.
***
He bang into the steel shiny door, the door sounded crack up and almost broken-the door of the advices shop which the doctor own. The doctor broke the noise and say ‘Hiii’ in a long and eco way.
“Give me some advice, I am a,” cried Flapjack, “Fix my voice, do what ever you do to make me better.”
The adviser said stately, “Go to the doctor next door, and he will give you a surgery.”
Flapjack stood up, strolled out the front door, turned left, and bang to the door with no enthusiastic, while the doctor walked into the curtain between the two shops. I was in a hurry, but I was late. Flapjack already had already done the surgery. I signed, “It’s too late.”
“No, no, you silly, let’s here the golden voice,” doctor paused and slowly continued, “of Flapjack.”
“Dear doctor,” Flapjack slowed down, “Why is my voice a girl?”
“Oh, I thought you hated your boy’s voice so I changed to a girl’s.” said the doctor, gently.
“Hey, HeRnaque, did you heard that? He said I’m a boy. Yea. I’m boy. Doctor,” paused again, “hmm, can you please change my voice back.”
“Aw, I like the girl’s better, but as you wish.”
Hours later, Flapjack was lying on bed, near big and long windows next to the shore. Every body was looking in, and said: “He’s a boy. What a beautiful boy!”
When the doctor turned back, HeRnaque asked: “What’s happened to your mustache?
The doctor responded back evilly, “I thought someone would need it more.”
When I turned to Flapjack, he has a tiny mustache, and he was lying there laughing hardly like a swain or should I say, an evil genius, “Muhahaha, I am finally,” paused and started out again strongly, “a BOY.”

Blog Entry #2 - Personal Narrative Writing

Write a short story. [This has been revise and posted again.]
“There are butterflies in the vegetables garden.” Kelvin said.
I took my head out of the fried where I had been looking around for an after/running/accident snack. “What?”
“There are butterflies in the vegetables garden.”
I didn’t reply. I walked awkwardly and painful, I did not response to Kevin Hooked, my strange cousin, and returned to the fridge. “I suppose I’ll have cheese and ham as usual. I was looking for something thrilling and unique, but,”
Kelvin interrupted me, “Emily, do you hear me?” I was summer-holidaying with my family and stayed at Kelvin’s parents’ apartment. The apartment was big. There are 5 enormous rooms, and a vegetables garden next to the parking lot behind the apartment. It was almost dark, but the sky is still light blue in the south of New York City.
“Yes, I heard you,” I monologue to myself. “I was just thinking about what I will eat. Now I’ve changed my mind. I will eat butter and jam. It’s much easier.” I took out my sandwiches’ tools, and Kelvin waited patiently.
“You aren’t listening to me, Emily” He scowled at me.
“Let’s have a walk to the vegetables garden, and we will talk about it. Is that alright to you?”
As we marched awkwardly to the garden, I turned out simply fine, like every ordinary person strolling, but Kelvin was acting like he could read my mind. His gesture and expression on his childish face has sold him out to me. His hands was moving left and right, touching his cheek, like a police investigating a crime. Then he turned to me and queried me: “It’s really hurt, doesn’t it?”
“Well, It doesn’t hurt that much.” As you imagine, you can really see me lying.
***
This morning, after Kelvin went to school, my older cousin, Wilson, who always sneered at me when I got stuck on a word, or who always acted envious when I held his mom’s hand, and I, tried to have a peaceful walk to the park near our house. We split up right after 2nd street, downtown, and meet at the park again. Right before we split up, he said as a old swain, “Hey, meet you at the park.”
At the park, there were all types of different playground with a famous sponsor tag. The slides were all various colors: red, yellow, blue, orange, violet, and green. I was just like we were in the paradise, but much better. There were different people from every age to nationality. I heard: Bonjour, Te amo, Sup dude, and 你好. There were young and adult. This was just like a world that had been minimized. Suddenly, Wilson decided to play a game to decide who is better. We had chosen hide-and-seek.
First, he was it. I needed to hide, and we played again and again for the whole afternoon. He caught me, and then I caught him. Mercy was forbidden. Luckily, we were in the park, if not, we could have never decided. On the last round, I wanted the victory, so tried my best running. That’s when I was running so fast, and tripped over a wooden bench, broken from the rain, and the broken piece scratched my legs about six inches. It was terrifying, my tears started to flow like a river. Blood started to fly out like the heavy rain had broke the bench.
I may have fainted, when Wilson ran, faster than a cheetah. Three second later, I heard he shouted, “Sis, are you okay? Don’t make me say those horrible ‘sweeten words.’” I have seeing my blood heavy rain had broken his heart.
***
We arrived at the vegetables garden. Wilson was there at the garden, I said, “Thank you, bro.”
                I blushed.
He gently continued, “You won, and will you forgive me since the first phase I gave you?”
From my mom’s perspective, Wilson had put me on his back, and carried me home the whole way. He was a brave gentleman, because he never liked girls before, and had never had spoken the word forgiveness to any lady, even his mom. He had changed his attitude toward me, not just me, but everyone. He had also changed my perspective about family. How I should have treated my family much better? We would make a whole new world just to learn how to forgiving people. I had learned so much more from this summer-holidaying, friends are important, but family is more important to anyway. I would like to stop there and let you think about this situation, a homeless child and you. Think about what would happen if one of your parents has pass over.
I would not forget this little moment, I was hoping it will carry on, but this is life. It’s stop.
From this revising, I had changed all the grammar and the punctuation I had mistaken. I had also added line break for flash back sections. This time, I had written a little more detail after the short story. This was the first writing, so I was a little off. Hope you get this. I had added some descriptive words in the conflicts for the readers to understand better.
My conclusion was also edited, I added how I learnt my experience, and started of from ‘How I should have…’

Literary Focus_Evaluate - Blog Entry #1

7. Evaluate Early in the story, Dr. Strauss tells Dr. Nemur that Charlie's learning to read and write is as impressive as their learning a difficult scientific theory without help (page 58). What does Dr. Strauss mean? Challenge or defend his statement.

Early of the story, Dr. Strauss had gave a statement to Dr. Nemur, I think what Dr. Strauss means is that they should used Charlie in the operation instead of debating each other, and I think Dr. Strauss was just being nice. What that really means is he wanted Dr. Nemur to know that Charlie is like five years old, but he improve with an impressive time. On the other hand, he also wanted to tell that Charlie have a great positive attitude, he is smart and he is going to be smart. By saying that, there would be prove. The proves are that when he took the Rorschach or "inkplot" test, he never wanted to make up lies even though he know what is the reason for.
From all my small statements, I hope that you and others people would understand what Dr. Strauss's statement is really mean.
